This is my newest song. I wrote it 5 days before recording the album. I moved from Seattle to Boston after getting back from my trip. I had no friends, or support system here. It is hard getting use to a new city by yourself. I also have BIG trust issues due to the losses of people in my life through love, life and death. "Without Getting Burnt" is about choosing to grab my life and my hands, to trust people, to let me into my life and to choose the unknown over comfort, otherwise I'm not truly "Living In the Now"

I feel so alone, in this God awful green bedroom that I pretend to call home, but I've lost that now, but why, but how

Cus I isolated myself on an unmapped island, and named it pity party for one, and I'm the only member of my club so no one can hurt me but there's no one to love

Chorus:
So where do I go on this rocky sea, for happiness thats not reliant on me
and how do I love, without gettin hurt, to touch the flame without getting burnt

Well I should really repaint these walls and run through the halls screaming at the top of my lungs, "Im Free, Im Free"
but to repaint the walls and run through the halls means to change the grand imperfections and reflections of me
and that just won't do cus I won't change me for you
